Our Professional Geologist collect soil samples for field screening and lab analysis. Soil samples are tested for gasoline, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), diesel, oil and grease, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as trichloroethylene (TCE) and perchloroethylene (PCE - PERC), semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs), polynuclear aromatics (PNAs), total metals and pH.
Groundwater monitoring wells are drilled and installed by licensed drillers under direction and supervision of our Professional Geologist. Groundwater samples are collected and tested / analyzed for the presence of gasoline, diesel, oil and grease, volatiles such as TCE and PCE, etc.
When potential contamination is presumed on the property, it is important to test for contaminants, like gasoline, oil, solvents such as TCE and PCE, etc. Soil tests and groundwater tests will show whether or not hazardous materials have leaked out of the containers and penetrated the surrounding soil or ground water sources.
